Winter Series: Beer Ice Cream and Wine Sorbet

The Winter series will focus on Beer Ice Cream and Wine Sorbet.  We will be making our popular Guinness ice cream and a White Wine-Pear Sorbet.  Each student will get to take home one pint of each flavor.

Each season we hold a new home ice cream making class in our creamery. Taught by founders, Jessica Mortarotti and Zachary Cox – along with Carmela’s head chef, Jamie Watson, the classes offer a wonderful breadth of knowledge for any home chef.

We go over the basics of creating ice cream and sorbet bases at home - with demonstrations and tastings of each. We also go over flavor inspiration, utilizing local farmers market produce and pairing ideas.
